Kate Middleton’s children George and Charlotte ‘DYING’ to meet Meghan’s baby Archie TODAY

The little royals can hardly wait to meet their cousin Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, according to a royal insider. George, Charlotte and Louis are believed to be heading to Windsor today, more than one week after the birth of little Sussex. Kate and William have waited to meet the royal baby to give him time to adjust in his home, Frogmore Cottage. Speaking about the excitement surrounding the highly-anticipated visit, a source said: “All of the family have been dying to meet little Archie and are really excited to finally congratulate Harry and Meghan in person.

“Harry’s family wanted to give him and Meghan some time to settle in to family life and Meghan’s mum Doria is still staying with them as the baby gets used to his surroundings.

“Prince Charles and Camilla were in constant contact when they were in Germany and are so excited to spend some time with the new family.”

The source added to the Mirror: “William and Kate are also really looking forward to paying a visit as are their own three children.

“Prince George and Princess Charlotte have already been asking their parents when they can meet their new cousin, they are as excited as anybody.”

But the visit to Frogmore Cottage looks set to be brief, as Kate is visiting later today the home of the World War II’s codebreakers to see a special exhibition marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

The Duchess of Cambridge is today travelling to Bletchley Park to view D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion ahead of the June 6 commemoration of the Normandy landings.

Kate has already met a number of codebreakers during her last visit to the Buckinghamshire estate in 2014.

Little Archie has already met Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on Wednesday, the same day Meghan and Harry introduced their baby to the world by holding a photo call in the halls of Windsor Castle.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed in front of a handful of members of the press Archie’s first meeting with the Duke of Edinburgh had been particularly informal, as Prince Philip “bumped” into them on their way to the photo call.

Asked when they would be seeing the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, Meghan said: “We just bumped into the duke as we were walking by which was so nice.

“So it’ll be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family and my mum’s with us as well.”

Archie has also met Princess Diana’s older sister, Lay Jane Fellowes, and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, who has been near her daughter during the last days of her pregnancy and throughout the past week.
