Kate Middleton pregnant: The major hint that proves the Duchess ISN’T expecting a baby

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William took part in the inaugural King’s Cup regatta off of the coast of the Isle of Wight on Thursday. Eight boats competed, with Kate and William skippering separate vessels. Neither were triumphant, but a fun day out was had nonetheless.

While the Duchess was busy flexing her skills as a yachtsman, eagle-eyed royal watchers realised this latest venture might be a hint that Kate isn’t expecting her fourth child.

Rumours of pregnancy have swirled for months, with fans of the Cambridge clan hoping for another sibling for George, six, Charlotte, four, and Louis, one.

But while some thought the Duchess could be concealing the early days of a baby bump, her participation in this boat race should put the rumours to rest.

Kate has suffered from an extreme form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) in all three of her pregnancies.

HG is much worse than the usual morning sickness in pregnancy, and was so severe that Kate was admitted to hospital in her pregnancies.

According to the NHS, if you’ve had HG in previous pregnancies you’re likely to get it again.

This means that if Kate was pregnant, the last place she’d want to be was a boat rocking around on open water.

The Duchess also had her hands full on shore with two of her children – George and Charlotte were there the cheer their parents on.

Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were watching from a viewing boat nearby.

Typically, cheeky Charlotte stole the show after the race when she stuck her tongue out at cameras and onlookers.

Her mother tried to get her to stop and wave, but couldn’t conceal her giggles at the little Princess’s confidence.

Prince George also received some extra attention – from the race winner, adventure and survival expert Bear Grylls.

In his trophy acceptance speech, he said: “And also Prince George, your first ant you ate today. And that is a great moment. Well done you!”

Unfortunately for Kate, her boat started too early in the second heat and was disqualified, pushing her into last place.

That meant she had to accept the dreaded wooden spoon ‘award’ for the losers.

The Duchess was gracious as ever in accepting her award for last place, and cheered on William, whose boat tied in third.
