The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down with Ms Winfrey for a tell all about their struggles in the Royal Family, with Meghan claiming to the host how Kate made her cry in the 2018 bridesmaid row. Following the explosive interview, Kate is said to be “staying strong” for the Royal Family and her three children.

A royal insider, speaking after the interview, said Kate is “one of the most dignified women you’ll ever meet”.

The source also described how she “pulled herself together” for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

They said: “The interview was particularly difficult for Kate to digest, but she’s pulled herself together and is staying strong for the royal family and her children.

“Kate’s an extremely protective mother and while she’s all about open communication, George, Charlotte and Louis are still young.”

The insider spoke to Us Weekly, and said the Duchess would hate her three children to “see her upset or struggling.”

They told the outlet: “Kate is definitely strong enough to get through this.

“She has a lead by example attitude, so it’s important for her to be a good role model to them.

“George and Charlotte are back at school, but she’s been spending her evenings with them.

“The children always brighten up her day, and she always says that when she goes through a difficult time, having her family there always helps.”

Kate was reportedly “mortified” by Meghan bringing up the 2018 bridesmaid incident.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK! magazine that The Duchess of Cambridge has been “saddened, disappointed and hurt.”

She said: “Kate has never wanted any suggestion of a rift with Meghan to come out in the press, so for this story to be circulating is very hard.

“Kate is so discreet and respects her personal life. You never hear about her falling out with anyone because she is very careful with how she treats others.”

Disputing reports from 2018, Meghan said to Ms Winfrey Kate made her cry when picking bridesmaids’ dresses for her wedding to Prince Harry.

She told the host: “The reverse happened. I don’t say that to be disparaging to anyone.”

Meghan said: “A few days before the wedding [Kate] was upset about the flower girl dresses and it made me cry.

“I’m not sharing that piece about Kate to be disparaging about her.”

She added that Kate later apologised and gave her flowers – describing her sister-in-law as “a good person”.
