Kate Middleton dressed Prince George to look like ‘a normal boy from a council estate’
It was Prince George’s sixth birthday yesterday, and to celebrate the occasion the Palace has released three adorable photos of the young royal. Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous Digital, royal expert Phil Dampier said: “The football shirt is a nice touch because it portrays George like any other youngster, be they from a council estate or a Palace. William and Kate want George and their other children to grow up not feeling royal or special but just normal.
“It was quite a shock to William when he was a boy to discover his future was mapped out as King, and I’m not sure he has ever fully come to terms with it, at least not until recently.
“He wants George to grow up care-free as he will have plenty of responsibility later on.”
The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, took two photographs of her son Prince George.
In these photographs he has swapped his typical smart shirt and shorts for the patriotic England sports top.

Referring to the significance of this outfit choice, Mr Dampier added: “He looks very relaxed and confident and happy and Kate wants to show him as I’m sure he is, a normal six-year-old interested in sport.
“He is clearly taking after his dad who is a massive football fan and of course President of the Football Association.
“And of course he’s interested in women’s football as well as these shots were taken during the recent World Cup”.
The photographs of Prince George show he is a confident young boy.
Mr Dampier said this confidence is a change from other times we have witnessed the youngster where he has appeared “nervous in front of the camera”.
He said: “George has had a bit of an image as a shy and introverted youngster so I think these delightful photos taken by his mum show him in a different light.
“Now he is at school in Battersea he is interacting with other children and has become a popular and confident pupil by all accounts.
“I think that having two younger siblings has probably made him grow up a lot faster and he’s clearly matured a lot.”
