Kate Middleton and Prince George: How a young Kate looked just like Prince George

Prince George is third in line to the British throne and the royal tot is growing up fast. George will celebrate his sixth birthday next month. Pictures of his mum Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, when she was his age show a striking resemblance.

Prince George has delighted royal fans in adorable photographs over the years.

From his first day at school to playing the clown at Princess Eugenie’s wedding last year, the little prince is far from camera shy.

George’s younger brother Prince Louis stole the show at his Trooping the Colour debut this year.

The one-year-old wooed royal watchers as he waved to fans from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

His older siblings Prince George and three-year-old Charlotte were as good as gold at the event.

They stood at the front of the balcony watching the procession below while their parents took turns holding Louis behind them.

While George pulled the odd grimace in one of the photos he looks strikingly like his mum did as a child.

A childhood picture of Kate which was released to the public ahead of her wedding to Prince William in 2011, shows just how much George has inherited her looks.

A young Kate has the same almond-shaped eyes and rounded cheeks that George does today.

The prince also has the same shape of mouth and nose as his mother.

While it’s still a little too early to say which of his family Prince Louis takes after, Princess Charlotte has a doppelgänger of her own.

A series of portraits taken by mum Kate were released of Princess Charlotte to mark her third birthday.

In them, there is no denying the resemblance between Princess Charlotte and a young Diana.

Charlotte clearly takes after her grandmother.

When it comes to family resemblance there is huge speculation around which of his parents little Archie Mountbatten Windsor most looks like.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have closely guarded Archie’s privacy in photographs so far.

Archie’s face and hair have been partially or entirely concealed in most of the pictures we have seen of him.

However royal watchers will be hoping to catch a proper glimpse of the tiny royal when he is christened at St George’s Chapel, Windsor next month.
