Kate lets slip Princess Charlotte’s favourite hobby with sweet link to Camilla
Princess Kate revealed her daughter, Princess Charlotte, eight, is a very keen dancer during an engagement in Lancaster on Tuesday.
The Princess of Wales visited Standfast & Barracks, a printworks factory dating back to 1924.
There, the royal met seven-year-old Emily May Catto as she was leaving the factory.
The young royal fan gave a drawing and a bouquet to Kate, who in turn asked her what her favourite hobby was.
When the seven-year-old said that it was dancing, Princess Kate told her Charlotte is also a fan of the activity.

She said: “My daughter Charlotte likes dancing, she loves ballet and tap…Keep up the dancing!”
Both Prince William and Princess Kate have previously spoken about their daughter’s love of dancing.
In 2018, during the Commonwealth Day reception, William told Malta’s former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and his family that his daughter “loves dancing.”
And in 2020, Kate mentioned her daughter’s love of dancing during a walkabout in Galway, Ireland.
The royal was speaking to a four-year-old when she asked her her age and whether she liked dancing.
When the young girl admitted that she did, Kate then told her that her daughter likes dancing too.

Charlotte’s late grandmother, Princess Diana was a fan of dancing as well.
William once said: “My mother always used to dance, she loved dancing,” William once said. “And if it’s something you love, you do what you love. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. Keep at it.”
And her step-grandmother, Queen Camila, also loves dancing.
The royal previously took up dance by joining a Silver Swan class, which is meant to boost energy levels as well as improve posture, coordination and mobility in older people.
Camilla said at the time: “I had certainly never done ballet before, and it doesn’t matter whether you have done ballet or not, it’s something that will make you feel better.
“It gives you a certain amount of confidence in yourself. It’s just a bit of discipline.”
