Kate is ‘hurt and insulted’ by Harry’s outbursts and has ruled out mending rift

Prince Harry says Princess Diana would be ‘sad’ about William rift

Prince William and Princess Kate have “decided to get on with their lives” and “closed their minds” to the possibility of a reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, an expert has suggested.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said that the Princess of Wales “has been hurt and insulted by things that Harry and Meghan have said”.

And she added that, whilst the royal may have hoped the rift could be fixed, her efforts did not work.

She said: “I think she believed the rift could be fixed and, after Prince Philip’s funeral, we saw her talking with Harry and obviously encouraging William to do the same.

“But we now know that it didn’t work. In fact, William and Harry had a blazing row right after the funeral.

“There comes a point when you just have to accept that happy families are not a game that everyone can play,” the expert claimed.

Jennie told OK!: “Catherine has been hurt and insulted by things that Harry and Meghan have said, but she and William are a very strong team, and I suspect that, together, they’ve come to the conclusion that the rift with Harry cannot be fixed in the foreseeable future.

“They’ve closed their minds to that possibility and decided to get on with their lives.”

The expert pointed out that whilst William can be “quite hot-headed, like his father”, Kate is “adept at calming him down.”

And she added that she’s sure the Prince and Princess of Wales are “a great support to one another and that Catherine is the most incredible source of encouragement for William.”

According to the expert, the couple’s marriage is founded “on an enduring friendship”.

“I’m sure William has called on the strength of that friendship to help him come to terms with the loss of his wingman, his brother.”

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has shut down rumours that King Charles “might offer Harry a royal home” in the UK.

Last week it was reported that discussions were taking place in order to lease the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a new home in the country.

This is due to Harry’s status as one of the King’s counsellors of state.

But the Palace has denied these claims and said they were “not true”.
