Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has been warned not to “cut off” Prince William after one of their latest virtual calls was released. During their week-long visit to Scotland, the royal couple had hopped on a video chat to speak to actresses Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, the stars of the new Disney film ‘Cruella’. The Duke of Cambridge had been telling a story about Betty, a care home resident who went viral online for flirting with him on a solo visit.
William told the actresses: “She wanted to kiss me.
“I said if I did that, I was going to get slapped on the back of my head for inappropriate social distancing.
“She said, ‘I’ll have you afterwards then’.
“She was a right character. I also got asked yesterday in a care home-“
At this point, Kate interrupted to joke: “Is this what happens when I’m not around?”
All four participants descended into laughter, continuing to speak humorously about the incident.
Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito discussed the moment.
Ms Bowie told listeners: “I loved Kate’s reaction to that – ‘This is what happens when I’m not around’.”

She continued: “I was a little bit sad that she interrupted William because he was about to say another thing that happened to him.
“But it got cut off or they never went back to it, unless it got edited out.
“I was like, ‘What else happened to you, William? Share!'”
