Kate, 40, stepped out alongside her husband Prince William on Monday at the event which marks Commonwealth Day. The couple were spotted speaking with ambassadors, senior politicians and dignitaries from across the UK and Commonwealth.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last attended the service in person in 2020.
The service also marked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s final royal engagement before they stepped down from their position as senior working royals.
Last year the pandemic forced organisers to cancel the service for the first time in nearly half a century.
Instead, the occasion was marked through a series of virtual events and members of the Royal Family appeared on a special BBC programme.
This Commonwealth Day celebrates the global network of 54 independent countries who are “innovating, connecting and transforming” to help achieve shared goals like fighting climate change and boosting trade.
This year’s theme is “Delivering a Common Future” and as the Queen marks her Platinum Jubilee this year, there will also be a special focus on the role service plays in the lives of people and communities across the Commonwealth.
William and Kate were also joined by other members of the Royal Family for the annual celebratory service.
Royal fans took to Twitter to share their enthusiasm for seeing the Duchess out at her latest public engagement.
This is a developing story. More to follow…
