Kate channels Meghan Markle with George, Charlotte and Louis Christmas picture
Kate and William shared an adorable Christmas message for royal fans and social media users to mark Christmas Day. This was accompanied by a picture of the Duke of Cambridge kissing Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte standing next to her little brother and Prince George sitting on a chair.
The picture, taken in the Cambridges’ Norfolk home earlier this year by Kate, is in black-and-white – a format rarely used by the Duchess and William when they share their official pictures.
Upon seeing this heartwarming photo, some eagle-eyed royal fans were immediately reminded of the official snaps shared in the past by Meghan and Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex often publish their official cards in black and white – from their first Christmas card to one of the pictures marking the christening of Archie Harrison.
Earlier this week, Meghan and Harry shared their first-ever e-card with their fans and followers.
In the picture, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are sitting on the floor laughing – while their son Archie takes the centre stage and crawls right in front of the camera lens.
This snap was, once again, in black-and-white.
Kate and William’s latest Christmas picture was widely welcomed by royal fans.
One social media user said: “Merry Christmas! Your family is precious. Enjoy the holiday!”
Another royal fan said: “How Cute. Merry Christmas To Their Royal Highness The Duke And Duchess of Cambridge And Their Children.”
And a third added: “Merry Christmas to the Cambridges.
“I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!”
The absence of the Duchess of Cambridge in the picture confused some of the royals’ followers on social media.
However, in their heartfelt message shared by Kensington Palace, the Cambridges explained why Kate is not in front of the camera.
The message read: “Merry Christmas!
“This photograph of The Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk earlier this year.
“We wish all our followers a very happy and relaxing Christmas Day.”
