Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have not seen the Duke and Duchess of Sussex together since they last attended a Royal Family outing in March 2020. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from their royal roles and moved to California, and have not returned as a family to the UK since. Bur a close friend of Princess Diana suggested the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge might be planning a visit to Montecito early next year to reunite with Meghan and Harry, as well as to celebrate Kate’s 40th birthday.
Asked whether Kate and William could jet off to the US into the new year, Stewart Pearce told Royally US: “That’s what I heard, absolutely.
“Particularly around the middle part of January, to celebrate the wonder of being 40 – Kate’s 40th birthday.
“And for the children to meet one another, be friendly and do all sorts of family things.
“Particularly in that location which is so easy to access the beach and go on cycle rides without being too disturbed by the paparazzi or people who are over-eager to meet.”

He however suggested that whatever the plans the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge might have, details will be hard to come by.
Mr Pearce added: ” I feel it’s going to be just as well stage-managed as the recent Cambridge trio to Jordan which very few people knew about.
“That was wonderfully done. It can be done.”
The family of five was briefly spotted piling up bags out of their car in November outside of Heathrow Airport, but details of their destination did not emerge until last week.

Kate and William shared their annual Christmas card, showing the couple with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis taking a rest during their visit to Jordan.
The Duchess of Cambridge briefly lived in the Middle Eastern country when she was younger while her father still worked as a pilot for British Airways.
While Prince George and Princess Charlotte already visited North America when they accompanied their parents on a tour of Canada in 2016, Prince Louis has yet to make his official royal visit debut.
The Duke of Cambridge is expected to travel to the United States next year for the Earthshot Awards.

Prince William last saw his brother in person in July 2021, when the pair took part in a special ceremony for the unveiling of a statue honouring their late mother, Princess Diana.
The Duke of Sussex had also briefly returned to attend the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, in April.
But Meghan Markle and son Archie Harrison have not set foot into the UK since the couple stepped down from their royal roles.
The couple’s daughter, Lilibet Diana, was born in Santa Barbara on June 4 and has yet to be introduced to her royal relatives in person.
