Kate and Prince William’s royal MISTAKE when first introducing Prince George to the public

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came out to present George to the world back in July, 2013. The pair even gave a short interview and posed for pictures with George wrapped in a white blanket. But a mistake was made when newborn George was placed into a car seat.

The prince has been swaddled in a blanket before he was buckled into the seat.

However, blankets and swaddles can stop the seat straps staying in the correct position, MirrorOnline reported.

ChildCarSeats.co.uk states: “The seat belt should be worn as tight as possible.

“It should be quite tight, so that only one or two fingers can fit between the child’s chest and harness.”

Following the mistake, a police agency in the Grampian, Scotland reminded parents to use and fit car seats properly.

The agency wrote on Facebook: “They may not be third in line to the throne, but you need to make sure that your little prince or princess is sitting in the correct seat when travelling in your carriage (or family car).

“It’s important to remember that even in a minor crash, unrestrained children can be thrown about inside the vehicle, injuring themselves and others.”

In comparison, Kate and William were confident in fitting the car seat the second time with Princess Charlotte.

The Duchess has recently revealed what she always has when travelling with their three children.

Kate reportedly keeps snacks to hand for her little ones.

When Kate was seen in a car on a trip to the Royal Society of Medicine in 2017 she was spotted with supplies.

Behind her appeared to be a Tupperware full of snacks left on the car seat armrest.

The royal children enjoy Italian food such as pizza and pasta, Kate has previously said.
