Kate and Prince William anniversary: Special week of royal couple celebrations REVEALED
Their wedding day was watched by 23 million viewers and among the 3,300 guests were celebrities such as David and Victoria Beckham and Elton John. Kensington Palace thanked royal fans today for their well wishes as they tweeted throwback photos of William and Kate on their big day on April 29, 2011. Eighth wedding anniversaries are traditionally marked with gifts of bronze but Kate seemed to discreetly celebrate the landmark with her jewellery on Easter Sunday.
For the Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle, Kate was spotted wearing the pair of diamond earrings she donned on her wedding day and a coat from the fashion house behind her wedding dress, Alexander McQueen.
Since their wedding, the royal couple have welcomed three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Charlotte will be turning four next week and Kate is expected to release photos of her only daughter.
For each of the children’s birthdays, the doting mum has taken portraits of them. Last year, Charlotte was pictured holding her newborn brother, Louis.
According to Hello, the Cambridge family are incredibly close and they recently returned from an Easter break at their county home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.
During this break, they enjoyed a day at the Burnham horse trials, where they were joined by Mike and Zara Tindall and their daughters Mia and Lena.
Photos showed Kate giving Princess Charlotte a piggyback ride, while Prince William had goddaughter Mia Tindall on his shoulders and Mike Tindall, balanced Prince George on his shoulder.
The family were out to support Zara who was taking part in the races. Missing from the event was Prince Louis, who was thought to have stayed at home with the family’s nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
