Celebrations begin with the Trooping the Colour on Thursday morning with members of the Royal Family expected to attend. The event will finish with a flypast of Buckingham Palace by the RAF, when crowds will get their first glimpse of the Queen when she steps out onto the Buckingham Palace balcony with other senior royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex won’t appear alongside the Queen after Buckingham Palace announced it would be limited to working members of the Royal Family.

What is happening on Thursday?
The Platinum Jubilee weekend kicks off with Trooping the Colour at 10 am where more than 1200 officers and soldiers from the Household Division will hold a display on Horse Guards Parade.
They will be joined by hundreds of Army musicians and around 240 horses.
The ceremony is also being displayed on big screens in nearby St James’s Park.
Following that there will be a Flypast to coincide with the highly anticipated Royal Family balcony appearence.
Meghan and Harry WILL attend Trooping the Colour
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend Trooping the Colour this morning.
They will be among the royals watching as Prince Charles deputises for the Queen, who will not take part in the ceremony.
Harry and Meghan will watch on from the Duke of Wellington’s former office overlooking Horse Guards Parade as the Prince of Wales inspects the guardsmen and officers and takes their salute.
