Jubilee line down after person on track – TfL suspends Tube line causing travel chaos

The Jubilee line was forced to close services between Waterloo and Finchley Road, with severe delays on the rest of the line, following a “casualty on the track”. Around 12.30pm, the Jubilee line wrote on Twitter: “There is No service between Waterloo and Finchley Road while the emergency services deal with a casualty on the track. Severe delays on the rest of the line. Updates to follow soon.”

The line later added: “We currently have no service between Waterloo and Finchley Road. There are severe delays to the rest of the line.

“This is while the emergency services deal with a casualty on the track.

“Tickets are being accepted on @LondonDLR and London buses.”

The Jubilee line has said it is “now running with severe delays across the entire line”.

But Green Park station will remain closed to Jubilee line services due to the earlier incident.

Earlier this afternoon two fire engines and an ambulance was spotted outside Green Park tube station.

A statement from the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Green Park London Underground station at 12.16pm today, following a report of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also attended, however, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officers are working to identify him.

“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
