The Channel4 News host was forced to shout back at an anti-Brexit protester outside Westminster who interrupted his interview with Prison Minister Rory Stewart several times. A visibly exasperated Jon Snow turned his back to the live camera to face the now dubbed “Stop Brexit Man” and said: “Could you please be quiet for a moment, thank you so much.” The anti-Brexit protestor could not be seen in the shot. But outside Westminster, Steve Bray can often be heard calling for Brexit to be stopped.

The vocal anti-Brexit activist recently engaged in a clash with Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.

Mr Morgan screamed down his own megaphone at the “Stop Brexit Man” and told him to shut up and stop ruining news broadcasts during the GMB show.

Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Mr Morgan began: “I’ve got a message for him. Alright Steve, shut up about Brexit! Shut up about it, nobody wants to hear from you!

“Be quiet about Brexit, you are not going to stop it, it’s the will of the people. Shut up! That’s it. Alright, Steve.

“See you don’t like it when we do it, ruining your morning. Yes you, ruining every single one of our news broadcasts. Now we are ruining yours!”

Piers carried on and blasted: “I have a bigger megaphone than yours, Steve. Right now, you have been out megaphoned. Don’t talk about Brexit.”

It comes as Prime Minister Theresa May will face the decision of the EU27 leaders on whether to grant the UK a further extension to the Brexit process today. 

At a crunch summit in Brussels today, the Prime Minister is expected to be told a “lengthy” postponement of the country’s departure date is necessary because of Parliament’s refusal to back her proposed exit deal. 

She also faces being asked to sign up to a string of conditions including ruling out any attempt to reopen negotiations on the Withdrawal Agreement repeatedly rejected by MPs.

Tory MPs were furious at the expected “lengthy” delay.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, chairman of the European Research Group of Tory backbench Eurosceptics, said: “This shows that the EU has no interest in democracy and expects voters to be cowed into obedience.”

Top Eurocrat Donald Tusk has used a letter to EU leaders on the eve of the summit to suggest the Brexit “rethink”.

“In the event of a continued stalemate, such a longer extension would allow the UK to rethink its Brexit strategy,” he said.

He warned that Mrs May’s request for a short Brexit delay until June 30 at the latest was unrealistic.
