Clarkson is back on screens tonight with, ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?’. The eighth episode marks the latter half of season 34, with Clarkson having taken over from Chris Tarrant in 2018. Known for his no-nonsense approach to work and life, Clarkson isn’t one to mince his words.

The former Top Gear host had no problem in giving his opinion on the fall out of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from the Royal Family in what was dubbed Megxit.

A storm ensued after they announced that they were leaving the Firm and the UK last year.

Clarkson wasn’t slow to join the barrage of voices commenting on the landmark event.

In a piece for The Sun shortly after Megxit, he sensationally remarked that Harry would have “c******” himself when Meghan “brought up the idea”.

But the pair have made it widely known that their departure was a mutual decision.

Nonetheless, Mr Clarkson joked in his opinion piece that Harry was less keen on the idea.

On the topic of the various duties involved with being a senior royal, he wrote: “So, she’s obviously decided that if she can’t dine on peach and peacock and have a couple of mermaids in the gin-filled swimming pool, she won’t be opening any new toilet blocks ever again.

“I won’t judge her for that. People are allowed to resign from jobs they don’t like.

“But I bet that when she brought up the idea, Harry damn nearly crapped himself.

“Resigning from the Royal Family? That’s like, you know, BIG. And not just because the next in line to the throne if my family has gone is . . . Prince Andrew.

“Every fibre of his being will have been quivering with nerves, but you get the impression that he’s not actually capable of saying “no” to Meghan.

“Some imply she bullies him, and I don’t think that’s fair. He is, however, definitely obsessed with her.”

Meanwhile, this week, Meghan celebrated her 40th birthday, releasing a video aimed at a charitable cause to mark it.

Harry made a cameo appearance in the clip, caught juggling in the background outside their multimillion dollar Montecito mansion.

During the video, she asked women of influence to give 40 minutes of their time to the millions of women who have lost their job as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, calling it the “40×40 initiative”.

While many commended the Duchess of Sussex for using her birthday as a force for good, others poured over the brief insight into her home office.

A spacious desk can be seen, topped with a number of copies of her first children’s book, ‘The Bench’, which was met with a number of negative reviews.

Eagle-eyed watchers also spotted a Hermes throw blanket that comes with the hefty price tag of £1,240.

The pair have been the topic of much discussion in recent weeks after both announcing new business projects.

While Meghan is busy working on her Netflix animation, ‘Pearl’, Harry stunned the royal world after announcing he was writing his memoirs.

Set to be published 2022, many expect the book to chronicle his early years in the Firm, how he dealt with the death of his mother, Princess Diana, as well as possibly touching on further details contained in the Megxit saga.
