James Middleton shares sweet post to mark special date ‘What a year it’s been!’

Businessman James, 33, on Friday posted a series of snaps on Instagram of him and Alizee out on a yacht. The Duchess of Cambridge’s brother and his fiancée marked the date with a trip to Italy.
The entrepreneur said: “It’s a year since I asked Alizee to marry me… what a year it’s been!
“Two homes, lockdown, two attempts at a wedding, a litter of [puppies], launching of new company @ella.co, a beard shave, and much more but the best part is that I get to share it with you @alizeethevenet and I can’t wait to take on whatever the future holds for us.
“We managed to escape to Italy for a quick dip in the the sea, lots of [pasta] & [wine] and now ready to face the world again – thank you @theclassicyachtexperience for the most unforgettable experience.”
The post has been liked thousands of times and received hundreds of comments.
Royal photographer Matt Porteous wrote: “Love these images and story James especially the beard shave haha.”
It has been a busy year for James, who spent the lockdown with Alizee at his parents’ house in Berkshire.
In May, Kate’s brother shared a hilarious video on Instagram of himself shaving off his beard and surprising his fiancée.
The 33-year-old said: “Seeing as Alizee and myself were due to get married, well actually this month.
“She’s never seen me without a beard. So I thought it was about time I showed her what was behind it.”
In the clip, Alizee screamed and laughed with delight when she saw James’s new look.

Later that month, the businessman announced he had an adorable new spaniel puppy called Nala.
The pup is James’s sixth dog as he already has spaniels Ella, Inca, Luna, Zulu and golden retriever Mabel.
The 33-year-old said on Instagram: “Introducing Nala Middleton. She is daughter of Zulu & granddaughter of Ella.
“I cannot wait to share many adventures with her and the rest of the pack.”
In another post, he shared a cute “first family photo” of his six canines.
And in June the Duchess of Cambridge’s brother launched his dog food brand Ella & Co.
James’s dogs regularly make appearances on his Instagram page.
Kate’s brother has previously opened up about how his animals helped in his battle with depression.
