Jacob Rees-Mogg filmed struggling to open a bottle of water
Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg was filmed struggling with a bottle of water during a BBC Brexit documentary aired last night.
The 50-year-old millionaire who represents North East Somerset tried to twist the cap several times before giving up and turning to colleague Stephen Baker.
After opening the bottle for him at the press conference, the MP for Wycombe tells him: ‘I do all the hard jobs in this partnership.’
The clip was screened on The Brexit Storm: Laura Kuenssberg’s Inside Story.
After watching it, everyone started making the same joke…
‘Where was nanny?’ one man asked, while another said: ‘One does not open a bottle of water. One has a bottle of water opened for them.’
Some departed from asking whether nanny usually opened his jars and water bottles to wonder if it was, instead, a butler.
In another interesting moment from the documentary, Boris Johnson was approached by a member of the public who insisted on showing him her son.
She told Boris: ‘My son looks remarkably like you, I’d like you to see him. Looks like he could be your love child.’
Mr Johnson didn’t respond to the comment, instead telling the gathered crowd: ‘Nice to see you. I hope you will stick with us, everybody.’
