Princess Charlene’s stunning ring was made by Italian jewellery house Repossi, and the cost of the ring has never been revealed. It includes a massive three-carat, pear-cut diamond flanked by smaller pavé diamonds in triangle arrangements around the centrepiece.

The princess usually only wears the ring out to formal events alongside her husband.

The reason why the Princess of Monaco doesn’t often wear the ring is a mystery – but she’s not exactly short of glamorous, expensive pieces to wear.

One of the most notable pieces of jewellery the princess owns is a specially designed necklace from Beirut-based jewellers, Tabbah.

Known as the Infinite Cascade necklace, designed to mimic the ripples of the water, the princess wore the piece for her wedding celebrations.

The jeweller Tabbah said: “The design of the necklace is imbued with fluid-structure: ripples that at once wrap, as if to protect, the neck, while simultaneously cascading over the collar bone where the large pearls drop, their individual settings ensuring delicate sparkle and warm glow as they catch the light.”

The princess also has a large array of expensive diamond earrings that are often on show as the princess usually wears her hair in an updo.

Princess Charlene frequently wears pieces by British jewellery house Graff, and she often sports a specific pair of waterfall earrings, which feature yellow and white diamonds of varying cuts dangling from a flower-shaped centrepiece.

Another of the princesses favourites is a stunning pair of Van Cleefs & Arpels earrings, known as the ocean earrings.

A trail of diamonds drops down to a circle arrangement, finished off with a blue sapphire at the bottom.

The pieces were commissioned by her husband and are some of her most worn items.

Much of Princess Charlene’s jewellery is water-themed, as she competed for her native South Africa in the Olympics prior to royal life.

Unfortunately, the princess hasn’t been out and about recently due to health issues, and has been living in her native South America in recent months away from her husband and their six-year-old twins.

The princess has spoken about her persistent issues following a sinus lift and bone graft earlier this year and has been grounded in South Africa due to her health issues.

She underwent another surgery in August, which her husband confirmed went according to plan.

He said: “The operation went well, Princess Charlene is resting and we are thinking of her with tenderness.”

In late July, speaking to South Africa Radio 702, the princess providing a medical update, described herself as being stuck “in a waiting game.”

She said: “Initially I was supposed to be here for 10 to 12 days, unfortunately, I had a problem equalising my ears, and I found out through the doctors that I had a sinus infection and quite a serious one.

“So, it’s taking time to address this problem that I’m having.”

She added: “I cannot force healing, so I will be grounded in South Africa until the end of October.”

Princess Charlene is understood to be returning to Monaco this month.
