‘Incredible’ similarity between Eugenie’s son and Prince Harry’s boy laid bare
King Charles Coronation: Princess Eugenie arrives
Princess Eugenie’s son August bares a striking resemblance to his second cousin Prince Archie, royals fans say, and look so similar they could be siblings.
That’s the view of royal fans across social media who were left gobsmacked after Eugenie posted a picture of her two-year-old son stroking the head of his newborn brother Ernest.
Eugenie, 33, gave birth to Ernest last week, revealing the news to the public in an Instagram post on Monday.
In the post Eugenie, who is married to 37-year-old Jack Brooksbank, said: “Augie is loving being a big brother already.”
And the appearance of August in the picture sent royal fans into meltdown, with many comparing him to Prince Harry’s eldest son, Archie.
Images of Archie – who turned four on the day of his grandfather King Charles III’s Coronation last month – are rarely released publicly, and he was last snapped on his parents Harry and Meghan Markle’s Christmas card.
For the image young Archie was photographed alongside his younger sister Lilibet.
In what strikes a stunning similarity to the newly released picture of August and Ernest, Archie is seen in the holiday picture looking side-on at his younger sibling. And royal fans couldn’t control their excitement.

An Instagram follower wrote: “It’s incredible how much Archie and August are similar! How cute are these two little cousins.”
A second even claimed August and Archie were “twins” – such was their similar looks.
Meanwhile, a third continued: “In my family, the cousins all look alike too. Windsor genes are strong. August does look like Archie!”
A fourth added: “Congratulations to Eugenie and Jack on the birth of her son Ernest. Is it just me or does the photo of Eugenie’s son August look identical to the photo we have been getting shown of Archie?”

Harry and Eugenie are known to be incredibly close, meaning it is highly likely their children – particularly their two sons Archie and August – have met in person since the former moved to the US in 2020.
Ernest, like his mother and brother, was born in London’s Portland Hospital.
The youngster, who weighed 7lbs 1oz, as born on Tuesday last week, and his name is a tribute to his late grandfather George – Jack’s dad – who died in 2021, as well as Eugenie’s grandfather Major Ronald Ferguson.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank.”
