The Loose Men panel also starred TV presenter Ore Oduba and comedian Iain Stirling. The show aired just days before the christening of their son, Lucas Philip Tindall, at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor.

During Mike’s appearance on the ITV show, Mike was asked by the host Vernon Kay whether he would renew his wedding vows.

He replied: “Yeah I think I would.”

“Once you’ve gone through what you describe, a marriage or long-term relationship…it can’t just always be roses and rainbows when you have children.”

The couple married ten-years ago and have been branded as the “most down-to-earth” royal couple.

The couple now have three children – Mia Grace, Lena Elizabeth, and Lucas Philip.

Lucas was born on the bathroom floor in a surprise home birth earlier this year.

Speaking on his rugby podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, Mr Tindall spoke of the story of his son’s arrival.

He said: “Sunday got even better because a little boy arrived at my house…arrived very quickly. Didn’t make it to hospital. On the bathroom floor.”

“So yeah, it was running to the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, towels down, brace, brace, brace.”

The former England rugby player added: “The best thing about being at home, the best thing was, as soon he’s wrapped up, he’s skin on skin, straight downstairs. TV room. Golf on. This is what we’re doing.”

Mike Tindall is a former English rugby union player who won 75 caps for England between 2000 and 2011 and was a member of the English squad which won the 2003 World Cup.

He married Zara Phillips, the daughter of Princess Anne and the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, in 2011.

The couple chose Scotland for their big day, exchanging vows at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh.

Royally Obsessed hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie discussed Mike’s appearance on the ITV show on their podcast.

Ms Fiorito said: “It’s worth a Google of Mike Tindall appearing on Loose Women. It’s a male focus edition of the ITV panel chat show.”

“I couldn’t find this exact quote so I couldn’t get the audio bit but he does talk about his marriage to Zara and saying it’s not always roses and rainbows, marriage isn’t meant to be that and kids were a massive shock to him and a change to his system.”

Ms Bowie added: “And I also like that Mike is just so open about things, I believe it’s very refreshing and I appreciate that.”
