Mike Tindall hinted that he and his wife enjoyed a rather chaotic break with their three young children, Mia, Lena, and four-month-old Lucas. The ex-rugby player has been married to Zara Tindall since 2011 and the couple welcomed their third child in March.
Asked about his holidays on his podcast ‘The Good, The Bad & The Rugby’ with Alex Payne, he said: “It was lovely, thank you.
“I would like to say it was relaxing but I actually feel I need a holiday off the back of the holiday.”
Whilst he did not disclose the location of their family holiday, he said he felt better having hit the gym every day.
Their family holiday will have been the first opportunity for the couple to take their newborn son, Lucas Philip, on vacation.
Zara Tindall gave birth to their third child on March 21, 2021 after announcing that they were expecting in a podcast episode in December.
In a break from royal protocol, Mike Tindall announced the safe arrival of their son through his podcast rather than through Buckingham Palace.
In March, he said: “A little baby boy arrived at my house.
“Arrived very quickly – didn’t make it to hospital – on the bathroom floor.”
He revealed that due to time constraints, they had not been able to reach the hospital in time for the birth of their son, and had to make do with the bathroom floor.
He said: “Zara’s friend Dolly is, she’s actually more important than I am at making sure she’s been at every three of my children’s births — she was there and recognised that we wouldn’t have got to the hospital in time, so it was run into the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, get the towels down, brace brace brace!”.
They named their son Lucas Philip, in honour of his great-grandfather Prince Philip, who died a few weeks afterwards.
The couple were already parents to two daughters, Mia Grace, 7, and Lena Elizabeth, 3.
