How Prince Andrew broke all royal protocol during Palace escapade with supermodel Caprice

The Prince wined and dined the Dancing on Ice star and allegedly let her take away a decorative bowl as a trophy. A source close to Caprice told The Sun on Sunday that the supermodel never really fancied the Duke of York and that there was never a chance of a kiss. However, she was attracted to him on account of his royal title.

The source said: “But as an American, she was thoroughly entertained at the notion he was a part of the Royal Family.

“Plus all the secretive rendezvous, although unnecessary, were a great family dinner conversation point.

“He took her to Buckingham Palace twice, and on one occasion she sat on the Queen’s throne.

“She spotted a bowl she liked and asked Andrew if she could steal it and post it to her mum.

“She claims that he let her, and her mum loved it!”

The Throne Room contains the official “Chair of the estate of the Queen”, the coronation chairs of King George VI and Queen Mary and Queen Victoria’s crimson and gold state throne.

A royal source told The Sun on Sunday: “I’ve never heard of anything like this before.

“Andrew has an apartment at the Palace, and clearly feels at home there.

“He’s entertained friends within his own space, but showing pals around the entire Palace is quite extraordinary.

“It’s a particularly strange thing to do, especially given that the Queen could walk around the corner at any given moment!”

Andrew began dating Caprice after meeting her at a dinner party, where they were seated next to each other.

They developed a platonic friendship that lasted about two months, before splitting after rumours of their friendship began to surface.

This comes as the Duke of York’s eldest daughter Princess Beatrice continues to make preparations for her wedding.

The Princess will marry fiancee Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in May.

In an unusual move the young couple have decided to name Edoardo’s three-year-old son Christopher as best man.

Little Christopher, or Wolfie, will be the youngest person ever in British royal history to have carried out a role at a royal wedding.

A palace source told the Daily Mail: “I can confirm that Wolfie will be best man.”

A friend of the young couple say that they decided to choose Wolfie to show him that he is much loved by his stepmother.

Wolfie’s mother is the 37-year-old American architect Dara Huang.

Ms Huang and Mr Mozzi had Wolfie in 2016 and were engaged to marry until they broke up in 2018.

Wolfie’s mother is expected to attend the royal wedding at Chapel Royal in St Jame’s Palace and the reception, which will take place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
