Prince Harry used the podcast to discuss his own struggle with mental health and his work helping communities across the Commonwealth both as a leading working royal and as a private individual. Angela Levin, who penned the Duke of Sussex’s biography ‘Harry: A biography of a Prince’ and spent several months shadowing the royal, suggested Prince Harry had been portraying himself as a “victim” since quitting the Royal Family. She made the shocking comment on Good Morning Britain, saying: “Their nonsense about compassion to those you know and those you don’t know, which is a favourite phrase, is meaningless.

“They’re not compassionate, he’s not trying to understand.

“I think it’s shocking and terribly upsetting. When I spent over a year with him, he was terrific.

“He was positive – he had issues but they didn’t identify him as a victim. And now he seems to have had this terrible brainwash.

“He’s number one victim.”

Prince Harry spoke to actor Dax Shepard during his Spotify podcast “Armchair Expert”, offering insight into his and Meghan Markle’s new life in Los Angeles. 

Despite quitting royal working life in 2020 to pursue a more private existence, the Duke of Sussex admitted to struggling because of the heavy paparazzi presence in his new home country.

Harry said “living here one hour outside LA, like it’s a feeding frenzy”.

And discussing his early days in California last March, he added: “We spent the first three-and-a-half months in Tyler Perry’s house and the helicopters, the drones, the paparazzi cutting the fence, like it was madness!”
