HEARTBREAKING reason Prince Charles was DISAPPOINTED after the birth of Prince Harry
Author of ‘Diana: Her True Story’, Andrew Morton revealed in his book that the late Princess of Wales knew her husband was disappointed with the birth of Prince Harry – who is married to Meghan Markle – because he was a boy, according to Fox News. The book is allegedly based on the secretly recorded conversations between Diana and her close friend James Colthurst before she divorced Charles. According to Mr Morton’s biography, Diana said Charles had always wanted a girl.
However, the Princess claimed to know Harry was a boy because she saw the scan while she was pregnant.
She said: “Charles always wanted a girl. He wanted two children, and he wanted a girl.
“I knew Harry was a boy, and I didn’t tell him.”
When Diana gave birth, Charles was allegedly disappointed and said “Oh God, it’s a boy”.
Diana claimed: “First comment was ‘Oh God, it’s a boy,’ second comment: ‘And he’s even got red hair’.
“Mummy snapped his head off, saying, ‘You should realise how lucky you are to have a child that’s normal.’
“Ever since that day the shutters have come down, and that’s what he does when he gets somebody answering back at him.”
The book also alleged that Diana described how her unstable relationship with Charles improved before Harry was born.
Diana claimed that her and Charles were “the closest we’ve ever, ever been and ever will be” in the six weeks before the arrival of their second child.
She said: “Then suddenly, as Harry was born, it just went bang, our marriage.
“The whole thing went down the drain.”
Diana and Charles divorced in 1996 and a year later in 1997, the Princess of Wales died in a car crash in Paris at the age of 36.
