Heartbreaking reason Camilla still in isolation after Prince Charles’ coronavirus recovery
After testing positive for the coronavirus and subsequently quarantining himself, Prince Charles announced via a video this week that he has recovered from his symptoms. However, despite the Prince of Wales being cleared to work again, his wife, Camilla, is still in self-isolation. Royal commentator Angela Mollard revealed the real reason why the Duchess of Cornwall does not yet have the same freedom as her spouse on the ROYALS podcast.
Ms Mollard told listeners: “Prince Charles has now recovered from coronavirus.
“Interestingly, Camilla is still in self-isolation because she could still develop symptoms apparently.”
The royal commentator also spoke about the Prince of Wales’ “remarkable” recovery.
She joked: “Don’t you think this is the quickest recovery in history?”

Ms Mollard continued: “As quick as we learned about it, he’s been signed off by his doctor to go back to work.
“This is weird because internationally, of course, it’s a 14-day restriction on anybody who’s contracted coronavirus.
“We know that he was diagnosed and then seven days later, he’s said to be negative.
“But even if he was back in circulation seven days later, not that he is because he’s over 70, but he’s obviously having meetings and things.”
The royal expert added: “I don’t know why they would put out that message when you’re trying to inform the public and keep them on board with the 14 days.
“So who knows, but remarkably quick recovery.
“Really good news that it was a very minor dose for him with very few symptoms he reported.”

Clarence House had earlier confirmed that the Prince and Duchess had been tested for coronavirus.
According to the statement, this had been done at the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.
Charles tested positive after “displaying mild symptoms” while the Duchess of Cornwall tested negative.
The statement added: “In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.”
Since that time, both have remained at the Balmoral residence.
