Harry 'to visit UK for Diana memorial in September' – and Meghan could join him
Prince Harry will visit the UK again in September – and may bring Meghan Markle with him, reports suggest.
The Duke of Sussex was pictured smiling next to brother Prince William this week as they put their differences aside to unveil a statue of their beloved mother Princess Diana.
He is said to have returned home to his wife and two young children ‘without a heart-to-heart’ with his sibling – but will be back on British soil in ten weeks time, The Sun reports.
The royal will reportedly join more than 100 friends, family and charity leaders for another memorial event for Diana, who would have turned 60 on Thursday.
It’s believed there is a chance the Duchess of Sussex could also come – but this remains uncertain as their daughter Lilibet will be just three months old.
If Meghan did decide to fly over, it would be her first visit to England since the couple left the country to live in the US.
It comes following months of tensions between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family.
William and Harry put on a united front to celebrate their mum’s life at the statue unveiling at Kensington Palace.
But an ‘insider’ reportedly told the Mirror: ‘Despite William and Harry coming together this week for the sole cause of commemorating their mother’s legacy, Harry is very much on the outside.
‘They put on a show, did what they had to do to make sure the day went without a hitch and said goodbye.’
Relations between the brothers have deteriorated over the past few years, with Harry telling Oprah Winfrey he believes William is ‘trapped’ within the royal system.
The duke has also alleged an unidentified member of the Royal Family had ‘concerns about the colour Archie’s skin would be when he was born’.
Meanwhile, Meghan claimed the ‘firm’ had rejected her pleas for help when she experienced suicidal feelings.
Harry later compared his early life to The Truman Show and spoke of ‘genetic pain and suffering’.
In a joint statement released this week, he and William said they wished Diana was still with them ‘every day’.
They said: ‘Today, on what would have been our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.’
