Prince Harry ‘struggled being full time royal’ says expert

Prince Harry hasn’t gone “down on bended knee” by accepting an invitation to attend King Charles’s Coronation, claimed one royal watcher. The Duke accepted the invitation after months of speculation over whether he and Meghan Markle would attend.

It has been confirmed Harry will travel to the UK for the ceremony on May 6 while Meghan remains at home. Royal author Emily Andrews said that while this was a “really positive” sign for relations between Harry and his father, reconciliation could still be a long way off.

“Whilst I think it’s really positive that there are green shoots of reconciliation, I don’t we should think we should think that Harry’s gone down on bended knee on the phone and apologised – ‘Hello pa, I’m so sorry for everything I’ve said, that hasn’t happened,” said Andrews.

“What has happened is that Charles and Harry had a conversation about Charles inviting him to the Coronation and Harry graciously accepted after his people spoke to Buckingham Palace people about what the event would entail.”

Andrews said on TalkTV: “There’s been some reporting that Harry was unhappy about where he may or may not be seated, other people reported no that’s completely wrong.”

Despite the fact that reconciliation might not be on the table for this UK trip, Andrews claimed it was “really good” the King and his son had begun dialogue.

She said: “I think the key thing to take away is that it’s really good that Charles and Harry have spoken but royal sources have said there’s no real-time at the Coronation for any kind of make-up chat.”

The royal expert was much less optimistic about Harry, 38, and Prince William, 41, speaking during the event.

She said: “This takes us to William, and it’s definitely true to say that everything I’ve been told Harry and William have spoken since the Queen’s funeral and, frankly, William doesn’t want to speak to his brother.”

After two months, Harry and Meghan finally gave their answer to an invitation to the King’s Coronation. Meghan will stay in California as Harry journeys to see his father crowned in Westminster Abbey.

It’s unclear how long Harry would remain in the UK, but reports suggest that the visit will be a quick one with the Duke possibly only staying one or two days around the event.
