Prince Harry gushed over his wife Meghan Markle as he sat down with trauma expert Gabor Maté to discuss his memoir, Spare. The Duke declared: “My wife saved me, I was stuck in this world and she was from a different world and helped draw me out of that.”

However, he said that he would never have been able to break free if he hadn’t done the legwork in therapy, adding: “But none of the elements of my life now wouldn’t be possible without me seeing it for myself. You have got to start with change within yourself.”

Speaking about Meghan, he said: “My partner is an exceptional human being and I am eternally grateful [for her].”
