The Queen, 95, celebrates her Platinum Jubilee this year and celebrations for this historic milestone are already underway. As part of the celebrations for the monarchy, members of the Royal Family are set to make appearances at events and even travel across the country to mark the Queen’s 70-year reign.

There has been heavy speculation as to whether Prince Harry, 37, and his wife Meghan Markle, 40, will be part of the royal celebrations.

Since moving to the US in 2020, Prince Harry has only returned to the UK on two occasions and never with his wife and children in tow.

Despite their decision to step back from royal duties, the Queen referred to the couple and their children as “much-loved family members.”

Now, with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year underway, Harry may come under increasing pressure to iron out his differences with his father Charles and brother William if he chooses to cross the pond.

Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl claims that Harry “will want to be a part of the celebratory weekend in June.”

She claims the meeting over the Bank Holiday will see the brothers have an opportunity to “thrash it out”.

Speaking to BirminghamMail, she said the two would be “required” to appear alongside one another.

She added: “Both brothers will have to make concessions.

“The Jubilee should give them more of a chance to thrash it out.”

The Firm’s foundations were rocked when Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey last March to make a series of bombshell claims about their time as senior royals.

During the interview, Harry said that his father Prince Charles had cut him off financially and at one point stopped taking his calls.

Harry also opened up about his fraught relationship with his older brother whom he had once been extremely close to.

During the Oprah interview, Harry said: “My father and my brother, they are trapped.

“They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”

The Duke of Sussex added: “I love William to bits. He’s my brother.

“We’ve been through hell together. We have a shared experience, but we were on different paths.

“The relationship is space at the moment. And time heals all things, hopefully.”

Ms Nicholl claims Harry will visit the country while the public enjoys a four day bank holiday from June 2 to 5.

There are a series of celebrations planned for the four-day bank holiday weekend including the Big Jubilee Lunch, a street-party style celebration.

Ms Nicholl also claims the celebrations would provide the Duke of Sussex change to resolve things with his father.

She said: “It’s the same with Prince Charles – Harry is going to have to meet his father and look him straight in the eye if their issues are to be fixed.”

Royal sources have previously claimed that Charles has extended an olive branch to Meghan and Harry by inviting them to stay with him when they next visit the UK.

The Mirror reports that Charles made the offer as he has expressed his wish to spend some quality time with his grandchildren having spent so little with them following Meghan and Harry’s move to the US.

A source said: “The Prince of Wales has been saddened that he hasn’t had the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, which he really does miss.

“He is a fantastic grandfather and loves playing the role immensely and it’s certainly fair to say he feels there is something missing from his life without the ability to get to know Harry’s children.

“This is something he is hoping to remedy which is why he made the gesture for Harry, Meghan and the children to stay with him if they wanted to, whenever they may come home for a period of time.
