Harry and Meghan’s popularity ‘sinking into the earth’ as they lose US

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do not have “many American allies left” as King Charles’s Coronation fast approaches, one royal commentator has claimed.
Speaking to Dan Wootton on GB News, Angela Levin suggested Americans now see through the Sussexes’ attempts to take control of the narrative ahead of the King’s Coronation on May 6.
Harry and Meghan ended months of speculation earlier this month by confirming the Duke will attend his father’s historic day without his wife and children.
With the Coronation just around the corner, Harry and Meghan have made a few public appearances, with some claiming they enjoy stealing the limelight.
However, after months of spewing negativity about the Royal Family, these efforts are in vain, Levin claimed.
Reacting to Meghan’s surprise video for her long-time friend, Nigerian-born British photographer and social activist Misan Harriman ahead of his Ted Talk, and her kiss-cam moment with Harry at a Los Angeles Lakers playoff game, Levin claimed Meghan is trying to prove a point.
She told GB News: “She is very determined but it is now turning against them [Harry and Meghan] because their popularity has sunk down into the earth.”
“I doubt if they have many allies left in America frankly. I think people can see through them more than ever now as it’s just going on and on and on and they don’t stop,” she went on to claim.
The royal author added: “You have this fantastic house. You have children. What are you doing?”
Polling done earlier this month suggests the Sussexes are indeed losing support among Americans.

Although the survey, conducted by YouGov for Newsweek, also suggested stateside support for Prince William and Kate Middleton has taken a slight hit.
Harry was liked by 46 percent of Americans in the first quarter of 2023, down from 52 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The polling is yet another indicator that Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare, released on January 10, continues to negatively impact the Sussexes’ brand.
A further 26 percent revealed they disliked the father-of-two, giving the Duke of Sussex a net approval rating of 20.
Meghan, meanwhile, received support from 36 percent of Americans, down two points compared to the last quarter of 2022.
A total of 24 percent said they disliked the Duchess, enabling the 41-year-old actress-turned-royal to retain a positive net approval rating of 12 percent.
However, the latest quarterly YouGov opinion poll suggested support for two other prominent members of the Royal Family has also taken a hit.
Prince William was liked by 43 percent of Americans in the first quarter of 2023, down three percent compared to the last quarter of 2022.
The heir to the throne was also disliked by 21 percent as he secured an approval rating of plus 22.
Kate Middleton’s support stood at 45 percent, just one point lower than the last quarter.
The percentage of people who claimed to dislike the Princess of Wales stood at just nine percent, giving her a net approval rating of plus 36 for the first quarter of 2023.
