Harry and Meghan’s ‘plan’ for Royal Family return ‘smacks of desperation’
A royal insider has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “endgame” is to attempt to return to the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were said to have improved their relations with King Charles following a birthday phone call for his 75th birthday, sparking speculation about a possible return.
Journalist and royal commentator Richard Eden, speaking on the Palace Confidential Podcast said: “To me it smacks of desperation. It smacks of Harry and Meghan wanting to come back in the royal family.
“They want to keep that link to the royals. We don’t have Meghan sending videos of her children singing happy birthday to her father.
“He’s been cut out, no one cares about him. But when it comes to the King and that connection – a connection which as we know is very lucrative when it comes to Netflix deals etc – they seem very keen to maintain that and it does seem desperate.”

Princess Kate gets King’s final seal of approval with special loan from royal vault
Kate, the Princess of Wales got the ultimate seal of approval from King Charles III when he loaned her a “precious” tiara that once belonged to his beloved grandmother.
The Strathmore Rose tiara was presented to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon to mark her wedding to future King George VI in 2023.

Meghan Markle’s style choices explained as Duchess ‘yearns to be back in spotlight’
During her time in the Royal Family, Meghan Markle claimed that she used to stick to wearing neutral tones and avoided bold colours in an attempt to blend in.
On the Sussex docuseries for Netflix, released at the end of last year, the Duchess said: “When I was in the UK I rarely wore colour. I wore a lot of muted tones. I also wore it so I could just blend in. I’m not trying to stand out here. I don’t want to embarrass the family.”
However, now she is independent of the royals Meghan still noticeably prefers wearing blacks, whites, creams and beiges, suggesting her colour palette was more of a personal choice.
While she has occasionally been snapped in blues and reds, such as the gorgeous bright Carolina Herrera gown she wore for the Salute to Freedom Gala in November 2021, these tend not to be the colours associated with Meghan.
