Harry and Meghan have not been banned from Montecito club over photo breach

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not been banned from a private members club despite paparazzi pictures, according to reports.

The exclusive club has a strict no photos policy but images of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their way online.

Sources claimed the couple had “set up” the paparazzi shots and last week it was suggested that the pair had been banned from the club as a result.

But according to GB News, an insider has said the couple have not been banned from the £3,266 ($4,200) a year San Vicente Bungalows. The policy is in place to protect other guests’ privacy.

The source, said to be close to the celebrity hideaway, says the Duke and Duchess are still “more than welcome” and dismissed reports of any publicity setup.

According to reports, a separate private members club in Montecito, close to the couple’s mansion, is the source of speculation but this has not been confirmed.

San Vicente Bungalows’ strict policy bans members from taking photos inside the club, with staff putting stickers over camera phone lenses.

It’s also “forbidden” for members and guests to discuss anything they witness during the visit.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Hailey Bieber are among A-List celebrities who have been seen visiting the club over the years.

The couple have been hit with a number of paparazzi claims in the past, with several sources accusing them of “setting up” photos.

But photographer Jill Ishkanian who recently shared pictures of Meghan at a farmers market said she “absolutely does not” tip them off to her whereabouts.

“No one calls me, trust me. I have absolutely no support, I do everything by myself. It’s a total pain in the butt when you get their picture to be totally honest,” Jill said.

Jill revealed she had initially gone down to the market to try and get pictures of Katy Perry’s father but stumbled across Meghan.

“I saw a pink and white striped golf cart with Katy Perry’s dad holding flowers standing next to it talking to someone,” she said.

Jill explained how she thought it was Meghan was speaking to Katy’s father, but only knew for sure when she saw her bodyguard.

Speaking to Newsweek about how she managed to get a snap of Meghan, the photographer said she decided to use her phone instead of her long-lens camera.

Meghan has been hit with paparazzi claims in the past, with one book claiming she leaked information to the press before joining the Royal Family.

The claim was printed in Finding Freedom, written by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, who said: “While Meghan, before she met Harry, had occasionally set up a paparazzi photo here and there or let info slip out to the press, she did everything in her power to protect the privacy of her relationship with the Prince.”
