Princes Harry and Andrew, who no longer perform senior royal duties, will not wear uniforms in which they have previously been seen at a string of events. Her Majesty passed away last Thursday at the age of 96 in what is understood to have been one of her favourite residences.
Elizabeth II’s state funeral will take place on September 19.
This day will also be a bank holiday, King Charles III has revealed.
At this and four other events next week, working royals will parade in military uniform.
These include the King, the new Prince of Wales (Prince William, formerly the Duke of Cambridge), the Princess Royal and the Earl of Wessex.
More to follow.
