The Prince of Wales concluded his trip to Devon and Cornwall on Thursday by making a toast with a pint in hand. Photographs of the sunny outing show him wearing wearing a cream suit with a striped tie and surrounded by locals.
One of the beaming snaps was shared with royal fans on the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall’s official Twitter account.
The caption read: “Cheers to the end of a busy few days in Devon and Cornwall!”
Followers of the future king praised him for marking the end of a royal engagement with a trip to the pub.
One user said: “A great image of a king in waiting, showing his human side.
“Enjoy the pint your Royal Highness.”
Another person added: ”Keep cool Your Highness. That pint looks like it might do the trick.
“Love to you and your lovely wife from OZ.”
A third commenter wrote: “That is a lovely pint sir you deserve it, rally around in this hot weather with your suit on phewww.”
Another responded: “Absolutely love this photo of Prince Charles. He looks happy, and relaxed.”
Charles and Camilla began the final leg of their tour of the South West on Wednesday.
The royal couple visited art gallery The Burton in Bideford, North Devon, to mark its 70th anniversary.
They later visited a nearby pub in Iddlesleigh where they met Sir Michael Morpurgo, author of War Horse, alongside Lady Morpurgo and Carol Hughes.
The pub inspired the author as he wrote the novel, which was published in 1982.
