The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be enjoying a life of luxury since stepping back as senior members of the Royal Family and moving to North America. A source told The Mail on Sunday Harry is a “baller” who does not mind splashing cash and has been associated with a crowd of tech billionaires.
“He’s not in with the showbiz lot as people would expect,” the source said.
“Rather than spending time with Adele or James Corden, Harry and Meghan are hanging with the LA rich set: owners of big companies, jet-set types with private planes.
“He spends time in Malibu, Montecito and Beverly Hills.”
In March, Harry started an executive level job at a Silicon Valley startup, Betterup. It is a coaching and mental health firm.
In addition, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify.
However, Royal commentator Daniela Elser, writing for Australian news outlet News.com.au, said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “haven’t exactly set Hollywood on fire”.
Previous estimates have suggested the couple pay around $5.9million for security and their Montecito home.
However, despite flexing some serious cash and hanging with some of LA’s finest, the source revealed Harry is usually the only famous person at the parties he attends.
“Harry seems really relaxed being the star in the room,” they said.
“He’s usually the only famous person at the parties he goes to, and it seems to suit him that he’s the one everyone flocks to.”
And the couple could soon be returning to the UK, according to reports.
The Mail suggests Harry and Meghan would like to have Lilibet Diana christened at Windsor, like her brother, Archie.
