Three men and a 13-year-old boy have been charged with assaulting two police officers in Hackney, east London.

Video circulating on social media showed an officer pinned on the ground and being kicked, while his female colleague was pushed when she tried to intervene.

They suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The four suspects have been charged with assaulting emergency workers.

The attack happened after a member of the public flagged down the two officers in the Frampton Park Road area at about 3.30pm on Tuesday.

As an officer attempted to speak to those involved, a struggle took place.

Three men aged 20, 32 and 34 – and the teenager – will appear in court later.
