Prince George earned high praise from Prince William this afternoon as he successfully identified planes during the Buckingham Palace flyover.

The young heir-to-the-throne, nine, was gathered on the Palace balcony as dozens of aircraft flew above the residence, flanked by his mother, father, and siblings.

He was captured excitedly pointing at the display, and impressed his father and social media users as they watched on.

A short clip of the father-son exchange posted online caught Prince William congratulating his son.

George was seen pointing in the air and looking back at his doting parents as he identified one of the jets flying above.

According to Twitter user @RoyallyBelle_, the Prince of Wales responded approvingly, saying: “Yes it is, good boy”.
