Restrictions on people travelling from the UK to Germany will be eased this week, it has been announced.

British tourists who are fully vaccinated or have antibodies will be able to enter Germany without quarantine from Wednesday.

It comes as Angela Merkel moves Britain, Portugal, Russia, India and Nepal from the highest risk category of ‘virus variant areas’.

They will enter the second-highest category of ‘high-incidence areas’.
