German Shepherd mauls child and two others in horror attack as police hunt owner
The owner of a German shepherd dog that mauled a child and two others in an attack is being sought by police. Officers rushed to the scene in Thornton Heath, London, just before 9am on Wednesday after reports of an “aggressive dog”.
Police found the youngster and a man with bite injuries after the attack in Broughton Road.
A second man told the emergency services he had also been attacked by the beast which was seized by the police and has been undergoing an assessment.
London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed the owner of the dog is being sought by officers.
None of the people attacked suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the force.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “The dog, which appeared to be a German shepherd breed, was seized by officers and will be assessed.
“Enquiries are underway to identify and locate the owner of the dog.”
