Ginger Spice Geri Horner has given fans a sneak peek of the Spice Girls reunion tour, just days before it kicks off in Dublin.

The group will reunite on stage for the first time in almost seven years for their comeback tour, which starts on Friday in Croke Park.

Horner posted a picture of herself rehearsing on stage alongside Melanie Chisholm – Mel C – on Instagram.

She also shared a photo of the stage, complete with large screens on either side and a large Spice World setpiece in the centre of the stage, with backing dancers in front.

She wrote: “Spice World Production rehearsals done! Welcome to Spice World 2019! See you in Dublin! #3daystogo #HouseofGinger.”

Horner and Chisholm will be joined by Melanie Brown, (Mel B) and Emma Bunton for the tour, while fifth Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has decided not to take part.

The Spice Girls have been preparing for the tour for the past few weeks, but in April they were forced to deny a rift between them as Brown missed the start of rehearsals.

The speculation of a row came after Brown’s claims that she previously had a one-night stand with Horner.

The Spice Girls will be the first girl group to headline in Croke Park.

It will be their first concert on Irish soil in 21 years and their first concert in general since their performance at the 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony in London.

Fans have been urged to arrive early and be prepared to queue, albeit briefly, at individual entrances before doors open at 6pm.

However, gardaí said they “strongly discourage any overnight queueing”.

The Spice Girls are due to take to the stage at 8.15pm and will perform a two-hour set.

Concert promoters MCD are confident the 75,000-ticket concert will be sold out. They said that due to some changes in staging and production requirements, they will release an undisclosed number of additional tickets.

Gardaí yesterday advised concertgoers to only to buy tickets from credited sources in order to avoid scams or unfair prices.

So far, about 20pc of the tickets have been sold in countries outside of Ireland, with some fans travelling all the way from Taiwan or Brazil.

The concert is estimated to generate around €41m for Dublin city, with organisers calling it a “fourth All-Ireland final” in terms of its revenue-raising potential.
