Prince George has been described as a “chip off the old block” as the nine-year-old shares special talent with King Charles and the late Prince Philip. It seems like the young royal has soaked up a love for art – a talent that has previously been displayed to royal fans. Aside from the Windsor side of his family, the Princess of Wales also shares a passion for art.

Royal expert and former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has praised the young royal’s talent.

She told OK!: “[Prince] George seems to to be a chip off the old block.

“Prince Philip and King Charles were both incredibly talented, and Kate is very knowledgable and interested in art… and judging by George’s genuinely impressive painting, he is also pretty handy with the paint brush.”

Last year, to celebrate Christmas Day, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared an impressive painting that their eldest son had done.

To celebrate the festive season, George – who will turn 10 next month – painted a reindeer and robins in a snowy scene.

Both the King and his own father, the late Prince Philip, have both been notable artists.

The monarch has been known to appear in places such as the ski alpes in Switzerland and the Imperial Palace in Japan with a paintbrush in hand.

Last year, 79 of the King’s paintings were put on display at the Garrison Chapel in Chelsea.

The King’s exhibition was the first-ever display of his work.

In 2021, PEOPLE reported that the Princess of Wales “used her artistic skills to thank the people of Scotland that she and Prince William met during their royal tour of the country this week.”

The publication write: “Kate, who has a degree in art history from the University of St. Andrews, shared an impressive sketch of the couple’s college town where they met and fell in love on a thank you note.

Kensington Palace revealed that the impressive sketch was from 2002, which was at the time when Kate was a student there.
