The US talk show host, 66, risked worsening tensions between the Sussexes and the Royal Family by discussing their private conservations on TV this week. She claimed Harry and Meghan were “frustrated” by the Firm’s reaction to allegations made during their tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey. Among the most sensational claims was that an unnamed royal asked questions about the “skin tone” of their son Archie Harrison.
King claimed Harry had spoken to Prince Charles and Prince William since the bombshell interview earlier this month but the “conversations were not productive”.
The Sussexes’ tell-all with Oprah has undoubtedly caused trouble for the Royal Family.
Some believe their remarks about feeling trapped within the Firm risk a constitutional crisis.
Others felt it was the “worst royal crisis in 85 years”, since King Edward VIII abdicated to marry US divorcée Wallis Simpson.
King also reiterated claims that Meghan and Harry had “documents” that could back-up allegations made to Oprah.
This isn’t the first time the TV star has publicly spoken about Meghan and Harry’s relationship as she once predicted a “different life” for the pair.
King spoke out a year after the Sussexes tied the knot in a grand £32million wedding ceremony, three years ago.
She claimed the Duchess had received unfair scrutiny for flying on a private jet to her baby shower in New York.
During a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight, King leaped to the defence of Meghan.

She said: “I think she is sweet, she is loving, she is kind.”
King argued that Meghan is “extremely generous with her time and her spirit” and she “wished” the public “heard more about that”.
She added: “I don’t think she’s treated fairly, I don’t.”
However, King believed Meghan was “doing alright” and didn’t think anyone would “have to worry about” them.

She said: “They’re really going to be just fine and this is the thing, who doesn’t love a good love story?”
King felt it was impossible not to “love a couple that’s in love having their first baby” and said she was “very psyched” about their news.
She added: “I’m cheering them both on always.”
During King’s interview, she also suggested that Harry and Meghan would take a “different” path to other royals.
Some could consider the remarks a prediction of the couple’s decision to leave senior roles in the Royal Family.
During Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah, the couple rejected claims they had “blindsided the Queen”.
They revealed discussions about having half-in half-out roles within the Firm for quite some time before their public announcement to leave last year.
King seemed to suggest things would work differently for the Sussexes back in 2019.

She said: “The beauty of what Harry and Meghan can do, because it’s highly unlikely he will be King, they can really live a different kind of life.”
King explained they were “still part of the Royal Family” and claimed they “loved being part” of it and “all that comes with that”.
She continued: “But I think it also gives them breathing room for things that aren’t traditional.”
King reiterated “nothing” was “traditional” about them and considered that “a great thing”.
During King’s recent remarks about Meghan and Harry on Tuesday, she claimed the couple wanted “healing in this family”.
She told CBS This Morning: “At the end of the day, that is Harry’s family.”
To repair the rift, King felt “the family has to acknowledge” there are “issues” – something she claimed “no one is” doing.
She added: “‘Houston, we have a problem here!’ That is really all they want. They want a conversation.”
