'Gang of 40' film themselves attacking autistic girl outside McDonald's
An autistic teenager and her sister were brutally attacked by a 30- or 40-strong gang outside a McDonald’s.
Siblings Olivia, 14, and Jessica, 16, were kicked and punched until the youngest lost consciousness.
Footage shows the group jeering, videoing and circling around the two, while one girl can be seen pulling Olivia’s hair, leaving her with a bold spot.
The thugs also smashed their iPhones and tried to steal their designer trainers.
Following the incident on Monday evening in Exeter, the sisters were rushed to A&E with concussion and bruising over their chests, ribs and stomach, and grazes, and were readmitted to hospital again last night.
Olivia, who is autistic, also has a suspected broken nose and is prone to bleeds on the brain, so her parents are particularly worried.
Their mum Penny, of Exwick, told DevonLive the attackers were aged between 15 years old to their early 20s and were unknown to her daughters.

She said they tried to lure Olivia and Jessica into the park, threatening them ‘to slice their heads off and stab them’.
‘They hovered around them and then one of the girls started punching Olivia,’ the concerned parent said.
‘Her sister tried to pull her off her but she was thrown to the ground and a male, either in his late teens or early 20s, then started kicking her in the head and body.
‘One girl kept saying to her that if she got up she would stab her, so she stayed on the ground and had to take the beating.
‘Olivia was then whacked against the wall and she does not remember much else because she repeatedly blacked out.
‘When she came around she was being kicked in the head and she had a nose bleed. She managed to crawl away and escape and hid down a side street.’
Previously, Penny told Metro.co.uk the family had become the target of a hateful campaign in which some neighbours called them ‘spastic and retard’, left dog poo in their garden and physically assaulted them.
An older man then approached one of Jessica’s and Olivia’s friends, telling them he has a blade.
Devon and Cornwall Police have since confirmed that Marcus Hair, 33, of no fixed abode, Exeter, has been charged with possession of a blade in a public place and threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
He was due to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court today.
Regarding Monday’s incident, a spokesperson for the force said: ‘Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.20pm on May 30 following a report of a fight in the Fore Street area of Exeter.
‘It was reported that an incident involving around 30 to 40 youths had taken place and that there were two victims who had been assaulted.
‘Two teenage girls sustained minor injuries. One was taken to hospital as a precaution. Enquiries remain ongoing in relation to this matter.
‘It was further reported that a girl was approached by a male in possession of a blade during the altercation.
‘A 33-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and a public order offence.’
