King Philippe and Queen Mathilde celebrated Belgium’s National Day alongside their children – Princess Elisabeth, 19, Prince Gabriel, 17, Prince Emmanuel, 15, and Princess Eléonore, 13. The future queen of Belgium wore a vibrant red dress with balloon sleeves that she paired with a hat and envelope bag in the same hue.

Her long tresses were styled in half-up, half-down hairdo and her face was partially covered by a nude face mask that matched her sandals.

She entered the cathedral behind her parents and ahead of her younger siblings.

Belgium’s royal family sat front row during the religious service to commemorate the National Day.

Earlier this month, Princess Elisabeth shared her experience during her first year at the Royal Military Academy (RMA).

Over the past few months, the future queen underwent intense training under an intense schedule.

She is taking a course in social and military sciences, where she is being taught, among other subjects, the four elements of Belgian defence: Army, Air Force, Navy and Medical.

Ahead of her country’s National Day, she said: “I am used to getting up so early.

“I had to adapt a lot here, but I enjoyed it immensely.

“I have met fantastic people, gained many new experiences.

“I hope to see you again on July 21 [Belgian National Day].”

She was photographed in her camouflage cadet uniform while carrying out tactical drills.

The training took place at Camp Lagland in Arlon, near the border with Luxembourg.

She was also snapped smiling and having breakfast with her fellow cadets.
