Full list of Kinder treats recalled over salmonella fears

A number of Kinder products have been recalled after the treats were linked to more than 100 reported cases of salmonella in Europe.

At least 134 cases have been reported by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, mainly among children under 10 years old.

Sixty-three of these cases have been found in the UK – with 40 impacting children under five.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said the decision to pull the chocolates was a precautionary measure, taken while the FSA continues its investigation.

But the recall was extended to other treats made by the company on Wednesday.

Kinder Mini Eggs, Kinder Egg Hunt Kits and Kinder Schokobons could also be contaminated.

It is important to note that not every single version of these products is a potential threat.

The possible danger is only thought to exist for specific batches.

The snacks possibly impacted should have already been taken off shop shelves.

People who already have them at home have been told to not eat them.

Salmonella symptoms to watch out for include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

Ferrero said it was cooperating with the UKHSA, which was welcomed by the regulatory body.
