Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40, released their Christmas card for the 2021 festive season yesterday. The Duke of Sussex had a beaming smile while he held onto his copper-haired son Archie, two.

The Duchess also appeared delighted as she gazed at the couple’s six-month-old daughter Lilibet.

The card also delivers a “Happy Holidays” message above the image of the family.

But one royal expert took to social media to suggest Harry could be making a “financial point” through his choice of clothing.

Angela Levin, the author of Harry: Conversations with the Prince, wrote on Twitter: “The Sussex children look very sweet and smiley.

“Is Harry trying to make a financial point that he has no shoes and his jeans are torn?

“Or is he just trying to be with the teenage gang.”

But not all commentators seemed to point out Harry’s attire.

Australian journalist Natalie Oliveri, who followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their tour Down Under in October 2018, wrote on Twitter: “Gorgeous first photo of baby Lilibet in Harry & Meghan’s Christmas card… and a rare look at Archie. Beautiful family.”

Harry and Meghan’s Christmas card came with a personal message penned by the couple.

It read: “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world.

“Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family.

“As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afghanistan, to American families in need of paid parental leave.
