The Duchess of York has reminisced about her recent appearance at the Henley Literacy Festival on social media. Writing on Instagram the royal shared a picture from her talk with Marguerite Kaye on October 5 about the Scottish based author’s book Her Heart for a Compass.
She said: “Looking back at @henleylitfest with joy as our new journey is just beginning.
“My latest historical romance novel, A Most Intriguing Lady, is available for preorder now via the link in my bio.”
In response to the Duchesses’ comments Ms Kaye was left gushing on instagram.
She said: “I had the bestest time. Never tire of talking about books and our wonderful collaboration.

The Duchess, who worked for a publishing company before her marriage to Prince Andrew, in 1986 published her first novel Heart for a Compass last year.
A fictional story about the Duchess’s great-great-aunt, Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott, the novel was a commercial success reportedly allowing her to buy a £5 million Mayfair townhouse.
According to Good Housekeeping A Most Intriguing Lady, due to be released next March, is a historical romance work of fiction set in the Victorian era.

Writing on Instagram publishers Mills and Boon revealed that the lead character is called Lady Mary.
They said: “We are thrilled to be publishing A Most Intriguing Lady and can’t wait for readers to fall in love with Lady Mary.”
Before turning her hand to historical fiction the Duchess wrote a number children’s books including Ballerina Rosie, Tea for Ruby, the Little Red Series and Finding Sarah.
