The 28-year-old podcast host said: “Even when I eat out now, even if they tell me the food is safe and that there isn’t going to be any cross-contamination, I’m constantly pulling down my jumper looking at my neck seeing if there’s a rash or not.”
“That’s the constant worry when you live with allergies, there’s always that constant anxiety. It can be really difficult for someone living with allergies because not only can it kill you if it contains the allergen but it’s a constant worry of trying to manage that allergy anxiety as well.”
Daniel, from North London, had a “really close call” as a teenager when he accidentally ate chips cooked in peanut oil and ended up being dashed to A&E. He said Natasha’s Law will “definitely” help him and others.
He added: “It is going to save so many lives. There’s been so many cases where someone’s eaten something and they weren’t aware it contained their allergen because it wasn’t listed or labelled. It’s so sad and unfortunate what happened to Natasha but amazing what [her parents] Tanya and Nadim have done.”
